The business workshops are most suited for businesses with 3 or more staff that regularly take photographs. For individuals or smaller teams, please see my Getting Off Auto workshop.

Hair and/or beauty salons where you want to capture creative images of your craft for social media, marketing etc

Any other business that requires images on a regular basis and is a responsibility of at least 3 staff members.
The mandatory 'Getting off Auto' element is a 4-hour workshop which is broken down between a presentation, demonstration and then hands-on practical exercises for attendees. A period to review images taken and feedback/QA session.
Attendees are welcome to bring their own DSLR camera (this course will also apply to smartphones where you are using an app to take manual control of the camera settings, Aperture, Shutter speed and ISO)
We can then add 'bolt-ons' to this mandatory element that is more specific to your business.
For example, if you are a marketing company that typically does campaigns for beauty products, we can put together a package that includes studio flash use for product photography.
Or perhaps you are a real estate business who needs to take more impressive images of the properties you list. Because believe it or not, images are VERY important when it comes to house selling! I despair when I see listings with images taken on a mobile phone in shockingly poor lighting. The better you make the house look, the more likely you are to achieve your sellers asking price, the more commission in your pocket! It's a no brainer really.
I will supply all photography equipment required dependant on the agreed format of the workshop for your business. If you and your colleagues do not yet have cameras, you are welcome to use mine for the practical exercises but it's highly recommended you bring the camera you intend to use daily.

With over 28 years of experience in presenting demonstrations and training to people in the IT sector, I have extensive hands-on experience in workshop style delivery. Coupled with over 40 years of photographing anything and everything, I'm confident that you will go away feeling excited about what you will photograph next!

These courses are designed to teach you the absolute 'must know' elements of photography and your specific photography needs, that will propel you from taking snapshots to creative, thought out, well-composed works of art!

The foundation, 'Getting off Auto' course (4 hours) costs £499 and is for up to 4 staff members.
