Enter the world of off-camera flash photography in this single-light workshop.
Are you currently a natural light photographer who would like to broaden your shoot options by incorporating flash photography into your repertoire?
After all, in the UK, many months just don't lend themselves to outdoor photoshoots (especially when people are involved)
Perhaps you're a small business owner that is looking to produce creative imagery for your brand, be it for social media posts, blog posts or indeed your website.
Benefits of this workshop
You will learn the techniques required when working with flash photography. Including:
Flash settings and options
Ideal camera settings for different subject matters (eg, portraits, food, products etc)
The role of diffusers
Using a reflector
The techniques learned during this workshop can be applied to multi-light setups and is an ideal first step into off-camera photography as the initial outlay for equipment is relatively low (assuming you already own a DSLR or mirrorless camera)
Unlike trying to learn through online videos, you will receive full support and help AFTER your workshop.
You will also receive a handy quick reference guide to take away with you to help you through your first few flash photoshoots.
In addition, you will be invited to join a private members group on FaceBook where you can ask questions or post your images for CONSTRUCTIVE feedback. We do not allow troll-like, or negative comments in the group as its intention is to support you through your progress in your photography journey. And perhaps you will be able to contribute and support others.
I will initially be hosting these workshops in the East Anglian region. Once I start the road trip I'll host workshops around the UK based on demand.
The workshop will last 4 hours and will include theory and practical exercises.
Where possible a model will be bought in to practise your new found shooting skill with. If a model is unavailable, we will all act as models 😊
Class size limited to 5 photographers.
I will provide the studio flash, reflector, different diffusers for use during the workshop.
We will use a studio flash head AND a speedlite so you have experience of both types allowing you to incorporate off-camera flash into your outdoor photography!
Note: I have triggers for Nikon and Canon DSLR cameras.
If you have a different make of camera, you are welcome to make use of one of my cameras for the workshop. The theory remains true regardless of camera make/model.
How much does it cost?
The workshop costs £199. If you are a business owner, you can claim VAT back on this as it can be deducted as a business expense.
Sign-up to my mailing list to be notified of dates and locations for a workshop near to you!
1:1 workshops also available, get in touch to discuss availability as these are very limited. Please note 1:1 sessions cost £249
