How to get leads from LinkedIn
Updated: May 1
If you believe that LinkedIn is merely a social media platform for recruiters and job seekers, then you probably haven't actively used it much over the past few years.
LinkedIn is so much more than that these days!
Some quick LinkedIn stats (as of March 2020)
LinkedIn has 675 million users
310 monthly active users
2 new user registrations per second
The average salary of a LinkedIn user is $46,644
90 million senior-level influencers
63 million users in decision making roles
92% of B2B marketers include LinkedIn in their marketing strategy!
So as you can hopefully already see, if you provide a B2B service or product then you HAVE TO BE ON LINKEDIN! End of!
So I can just join LinkedIn and the leads will start flowing in?
Let me be clear. LinkedIn, as is the case with most things business-related is a long game. Yes, you may well get a lead or two in the first week, or two. But in general, it's going to be a few months of being 'consistent' until the leads will become more regular.
There are a LOT of LinkedIn coaches/trainers out there, and if any of them 'guarantee' that you will get leads from LinkedIn, please run away in personal best time!
Why should I do your LinkedIn course?
Because I'm dead honest and do not guarantee that you're going to get leads in your first week or month!
I charge a very reasonable price of £99 for what others will charge you £1500 to teach you! And I don't expect you to donate days of your life for me to give you a feeling of justifying your expenditure!
If you follow the guidance I provide in the training, I guarantee you that you will start building a purposeful network on LinkedIn, and it is entirely within your hands how well you convert these connections to leads and clients.
What do you cover in your LinkedIn training?
I cover pretty much all you need to know about using the platform. Including:
Optimising your profile
Growing your network
Different post types
When to post
What to DO
What to AVOID
How do you deliver your LinkedIn training?
You will receive a 1:1, 2-hour training session with me via Zoom. During this session I will share my desktop with you in which we will bring up your LinkedIn profile and refer to this throughout the training session. We'll discuss what is working and what isn't for your profile.
You will receive a copy of the presentation deck following the training for easy referral whilst you action all the items you have been taught.
Do you provide any guarantees?
No. What I provide is the guarantee that if you follow the advice given during this training, you will gain more followers, increase your social selling index score (more of this in the course), and as a result, be in a position to get leads from LinkedIn!
The rest is up to you and as mentioned, any LinkedIn coach that says anything different, is simply not to be trusted.
If you have a service and/or product that YOU know the value in, that YOU believe in then there is absolutely NO reason why LinkedIn wouldn't be a great source for leads for you and your business!
However, in business there are no guarantees, therefore I simply provide you with the tools and knowledge that will allow you to use LinkedIn effectively, build a network of people genuinely interested, and engaged with you. You then use this knowledge, and your own personality to turn your network into inbound leads.
What makes you qualified to deliver LinkedIn training?
I have worked in IT for some 28 years. The majority of that within software houses. I have been using LinkedIn for some 15 years now.
Up until 10 months ago, my use of LinkedIn was probably that of the majority of users still on it today, it was my 'online cv'. I connected with people whom I met in my day to day role assisting the sales teams in demoing products, account managing, and project management duties.
When I launched my photography business 10 months ago, I created a new profile on LinkedIn to be specific to my photography business, as my IT experience and history isn't necessarily relevant to photography.
In those 10 months, I have built a network of some 6500+ followers on LinkedIn.
Some folks may claim, "Only 6500 in 10 months?". But don't be fooled, folks. LinkedIn isn't a numbers game! If you are a serious business owner, looking to create leads from LinkedIn, then being specific with who you connect with is important! I ignore more connection requests than I accept. Why? Well because I want to connect with people who I feel I can actually assist. People who have taken the time to check my profile out and aren't just chasing vanity metrics.
As a result of carefully choosing my network, and blocking a LOT of people, I'm now in the position where the leads are coming in on a fairly regular basis. I'm not going to lie, the leads for my photography business dried up with lockdown, hence why I am now falling back on my IT and training experience to help others make the most out of LinkedIn! As an example, I posted about my website design offer and within 2 days I had my first web design job! I have another 2 lined up! LinkedIn DOES work IF YOU put the EFFORT in!
I have been showing up EVERY day for the past 10 months. Weekends included. Posting at least once, mostly twice a day!
What you put in, is what you'll get out.
So I'm not going to guarantee your success, only you can do that! But I do promise that I will do my damn best to ensure you have all the knowledge at your disposal to make LinkedIn work for you if you WANT it to.
If you're ready to start taking LinkedIn seriously and get yourself in front of thousands of people without having to pay for paid ads, then get in touch and let's get you booked in! I assure you, I have your success as my priority!
